The boys cross-country team looked like it belonged racing in the Katie Caples' Elite race, reserved for the Top 20 teams of the 53 entered. Though the boys placed 14th of 20, they received encouragement in the emergence of Michael Leathers (17:57) in the sub-18 minute club. Leather's performance moves him to 8th in Lee's All-Time 5K Times list.
Just ahead of Leather's for the Generals was the duo of Rayford James and Dominic Williams. James was able to out run Williams (17:12) this week, finishing 5 seconds ahead at 17:07 for the 5k. Also competing for the Generals were Buay Deng (21:12), Dezmin Denehy (21:33), Kris Smalls (23:10) and Chris Curry (24:09). [
