Announcements:
  • Congratulations to Rayford James in winning the Gateway Conference Championship in the 1600m posting a 4:28 time.
  • Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be starting up again at Lee High School after a 6 year layoff. Come be a part of the newest oldest club on campus. FCA is not limited to just athletes. Interest meeting will be held Tuesday, April 15 at 2:15pm in room 859.

Week in Sports: March 30 Edition

Announcements:
  • The District Tennis Tournament will be held this week starting on Monday, March 31, 2014. See Coach Albertie for more information.
  • Gateway Conference Softball Tournament begins Monday, March 31, 2014 with all games being played at Palmetto Leaves Regional Park. Game times and fields are to be announced.
  • Gateway Conference Track and Field Championships will be held Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at Wolfson High School. Weigh in will be held at 10:30am. Field events will begin at 11:00am. See Coach Friedman or Coach Jenkins for more information.
  • Gateway Conference Baseball Tournament begins Monday, April 7, 2014, site has yet to be announced.

Announcements:
  • The Lee Generals v. Jackson Tigers game at the Jacksonville Baseball Grounds will be made up this Friday, March 28, 2014. This is a part of a doubleheader with Paxon Eagles v. Stanton Blue Devils to follow at 6:00pm. Admission is $5.
  • Senior Rayford James broke the Lee High School 1600-meter record on Saturday, March 22, 2014 finishing the race in 4 minutes and 19.25 seconds. The previous mark was held by Jack Lanier since 1968 with a converted time of 4 minutes and 19.64 seconds (time was converted from a one-mile 4:21.1 hand-time). The previous non-converted 1600-meter record was held by Jonathan Esteban since 2008 with a time of 4 minutes and 21.83 seconds.
  • Gateway Conference Championships for Track and Field will be held Tuesday, April 1 at Wolfson High School. Prelims and field events will begin at 12 noon. Come out to Wolfson after school to catch the Finals in the track events.
  • District Tournament for Tennis will begin Monday, March 31, 2014. No further information has been provided.
  • Gateway Conference Softball Tournament begins Monday, March 31, 2014 at Palmetto Leaves Park.
  • Gateway Conference Baseball Tournament begins Monday, April 7, 2014, site has yet to be announced.

  • Faculty Basketball won their first round playoff game 51-41.
  • Rayford James took 1st in the 800m and 2nd in the 1600m at the Bolles Bulldog Classic this weekend. He posted a 1:56 in the 800m and 4:23 in the 1600m.
  • The sprinters raced at the Westside Relays this weekend, results to follow.
  • The Lee v. Providence lacrosse game will follow the Lee v. Forrest flag football game Tuesday night for a doubleheader event! Come support the Lady Generals Flag Football team and the Generals Lacrosse team.

  • Generals track and field will compete in two meets this weekend. The distance runners will compete at the Bulldog Class this Friday night. The sprinters will compete in the Westside Relays.
  • The Generals baseball team will be competing at the Jacksonville Baseball Grounds, where the Suns play, this Friday at 4pm against rival Andrew Jackson. Admission is $5 for the doubleheader with Fletcher v. First Coast to follow at 6:30pm.

  • Congratulations to the Marathon High runners that completed the Donna 26.2 this past Saturday, we at Lee High School are proud of the hard work and dedication you put in this season! 
  • The Generals Faculty Basketball team split their games last week meeting some of their fiercest competition of the season. The Generals lost to the Spurs 59-52 and beat the J'ville Thrill 73-72.
  • The Baseball team put on a batting clinic against Ribault this past Wednesday, winning the game 19-0!
  • Congratulations to Rayford James, who on Saturday broke the Lee High School 1200m record with a blazing 3:13.0 at the Sandalwood Saints Open. Teammate Dominic Williams finished 4th in the 1200m. On the girls side, Ariel O'Neal finished 2nd in the 1200m.
